Before you submit your application, make sure you understand the basics:

I understand that I am applying to a program, not to a specific role. Even if a certain role is discussed during an interview, or if I need a certain role to get college credit from my school, it may have nothing to do with the role I’m assigned. I understand that Disney assigns roles based on operational need, not necessarily on education, interests, or prior work experience. I am agreeing to accept any role, and I have read the description of every possible role. I understand that Disney has a Drug Testing policy for certain roles and that marijuana is one of the illegal drugs they test for. I understand that Disney follows US federal law so even if marijuana is legal in my state or if I have a medical marijuana card, that does not matter to Disney. If I apply and get accepted and then later fail the drug test, I understand that Disney will rescind (cancel) my offer - they will not simply move me to a role that they don't require a drug test for. I understand that CPs can be assigned to work at a Disney Resort, Disney Springs, ESPN, or other locations around Walt Disney World, which means I may not be assigned to work in a park. I understand that if accepted, I will need to select an arrival date and a departure date. I have reviewed the available dates and confirmed they work for me. I understand that CPs do not receive vacation days. Disney is not obligated to give me time off for a graduation ceremony, family wedding, family vacation (even a Disney Cruise), or any other obligation. I understand that I must pay program fees before arrival, that the starting pay rate is $18/hour, and that I may be scheduled as few as 30 hours/week or as many as 50+ hours/week, depending on operational needs. I understand that I'll have the option to live at Flamingo Crossings Village and that rent will be deducted from my paycheck weekly. I will have the chance to say I prefer a private room but I understand that most apartments at Flamingo are two people per bedroom so the odds are that I will be sharing a room with a roommate. Currently, Flamingo is not allowing anyone to match with a specific roomate.

If you can’t check all the boxes, pause. Don’t automatically think it’s best to apply and then convince Disney to bend the rules for you if you get accepted. That won’t happen.
Navigator has a pretty firm opinion on this one. You don’t have to agree but here it is; Don’t be the one who applies and says “but if I don’t get the role I want, in the location I want and the apartment I want, I just won’t go.” It’s a serious program. Only apply to it if you understand that and are serious about doing it.
