Eligibility

Eligibility

  • Be at least 18 – when you apply
  • Be enrolled (when you apply) in college or, have graduated with the past 24 months.
  • Complete at least one semester before your program starts.
  • Dual Enrollment (taking college-level classes while still in high school doesn’t count).

The eligibility requirements are pretty straightforward:

If you want to apply for the Disney College Program, here are the actual eligibility requirements, written clearly and without anything extra added.

You must be enrolled in an accredited U.S. college or university, OR have graduated within the last 24 months

To be eligible, one of the following must be true at the time you apply:

  • You are currently taking classes at an accredited U.S. college, university, community college, or higher education program. Trade schools can work if they are accredited.

    OR

  • You graduated within 24 months of the application posting date

  • You can apply during your first semester of college — you just need to finish that semester before you arrive for the program.

  • Dual-enrolled high school students are not eligible.

  • If you previously took college classes but are not currently enrolled, you must re-enroll before submitting an application.

  • By the time you arrive at the program, you must have completed at least one full semester at an accredited U.S. institution.

  • You must be 18 or older when you submit your application. (You can’t apply at 17 even if you’ll be 18 when you arrive)
  • You must already be legally allowed to work in the United States..

There are also some Disney requirements that you need to be willing to agree with.

You must follow Disney Look appearance guidelines
  • Disney has a “look” and they put all the rules about it in the DISNEY LOOK BOOK.  Click the link and check the Look Book (page 11) to make sure you meet the requirements.
The things that trip folks up are the requirements related to tattoos and the requirement for piercings.  Other stuff, like hair color and hairstyle can be changed before arrival.
  • Don’t believe what you may hear from someone on social media saying “Disney doesn’t care about those things anymore”. They are a little more lenient but the rules still get enforced.

You must be okay with the pay rate
  • For 2025 the base pay rate is $17/hour and that goes up to $18 for 2026.
  • Some roles pay more than the base rate.
  • CPs are guaranteed at least 30 hours per week.

You must be fully available to work – any day, any hours.
  • This means that you can’t tell Disney when you are and are not available. They tell you when they need you to work.
  • The term is “full availability”.  Some people might say that means you’re on call 24/7. Trust your Navigator. That’s not true.

You agree that you know you might be working outside.

Depending on your role and location, you may spend time in Florida heat and humidity, rain, cold or windy weather

  • long periods of standing or walking

Florida weather changes quickly, and roles can require movement between indoor and outdoor spaces.

You agree to take a drug test if requested.
  • Medical marijuana cards don’t work.  If you test positive, your offer goes away.
  • Disney can ask you to test before you arrive (based on the role you are assigned)
  • Disney can also ask you to test randomly, at any time.
